Goodbye, 2014. Hello, 2015!

2014 was a pretty great year for the BCC.  We funded more than sixty organizations that offered incredible opportunities for Bostonians to engage with art and culture. From after school dance programs to lecture series, art internships to free theatre tickets and beyond, we are truly impressed with everything our 2014 grantees achieved.

But now it’s time to look forward to what the New Year will bring.  The Massachusetts Cultural Council increased our funding by more than 11% for the 2015 funding cycle.  Mayor Walsh strengthened his commitment to the city’s arts and culture community by pledging to match the MCC funds.  We’ve added several new council members. And now, with Julie Burros at the helm as our new Chief of Arts & Culture, it’s the perfect time for us to work together and harder than ever to increase the visibility and viability of Boston’s art and culture.

2015, here we come!
